QIA Seeking Board Members for Various Positions
Iqaluit, Nunavut, September 15, 2026 – The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) is seeking individuals that are interested in applying for one of the eight boards listed below.
– Nunavut Water Board
One position, 3-year term, all Qikiqtani Inuit are eligible to apply
– Kakivak Association
One position, 3-year term, all Qikiqtani Inuit are eligible to apply
– Qikiqtaaluk Corporation
two position, 3-year term, all Qikiqtani Inuit are eligible to apply
– Sirmilik National Park Joint Planning & Management Committee
One positions, 4-year term, resident of Pond Inlet & Arctic Bay are eligible for this position
– Sirmilik Park Joint Planning and Management Committee
Two positions, 4-year term, resident of Pond Inlet & Arctic Bay are eligible for this position
– Qausuittuq National Park – Territorial Park Joint Planning and Management Committee
One Position, 4-year term, residents of Resoulute Bay/Grise Fiord are eligible for this position
– Kinngaaluk Territoral Park -Community Joint Planning & Management Committee
One position, 3-year term, Inuit from Sanikiluaq are eligible to apply
– Napaartulik Territoal Park – Joint Planning & Management Committee
Two position, 3-year term, Inuit from Grise Fiord are eligible for this position
To be considered for any of these positions, you must include a completed application form and a current resume. Some boards or committees may require a completed Vulnerable Sectors Check, completed within the last 6 months.
