Iqaluit, Nunavut, March 11, 2024 – The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) is inviting Inuit to submit proposals for the Qikiqtani Cultural Activities Program (QCAP) for the 2024-2025 fiscal year, spring/summer projects.

Individual Inuit and non-profit community groups from all Qikiqtani communities are invited to submit proposals for projects that will run between May 1, 2024 and September 30, 2024.

QCAP provides funding for community-based projects that allow community members to participate in and learn traditional skills, such as but not limited to sewing, harvesting, and on-the-land activities.

QCAP is financed through QIA’s Benefits Fund, which is derived from the Legacy Fund. As the Legacy Fund grows, its revenues go to the Benefits Fund to increase programs available for Inuit.

Applications can be completed online at https://www.qia.ca/qcap-application/, or with the help of your local CLO.

If you would like more information, or if you require assistance completing the online or paper application form, please contact Tiivi Qiatsuk at 867-975-8446 or email qcap@qia.ca.

The deadline to submit your proposal is April 5, 2024 at 12:00 EDT.
