Notice of Extraordinary Resolutions
Annual General Meeting
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Articles 5.02.2 of the Qikiqtani Inuit Association By-Laws and Article 5.2 of the QIA Financial Policies that the following Extraordinary Resolutions will be proposed:
- Direction to spend a one-time draw down from the Legacy Fund of up to 10% of its value on March 31st, 2025.
- Direction to spend the funding negotiated by QIA through the “Fisheries Agreement” with the Government of Canada
- Direction to spend $55.6 of Budget 2024 Indigenous Housing and Community Infrastructure (IHCI) funding
- Direction to spend $33 million in funding received through the Canada Housing and Infrastructure Fund (CHIF) for the development of an Iqaluit land parcel.
