Position: Manager, Conservation Agreements
Tenure: Indeterminate Location: Iqaluit, Nunavut

The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) is seeking a Manager, Conservation Agreements.
This position supports conservation and protected areas work across the Qikiqtani region. The role focuses on agreements, funding, and project implementation related to parks, marine areas, and wildlife protection.
This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys working with communities, partners, and government. The successful candidate will support Inuit interests and help make sure work follows the Nunavut Agreement.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Implementation, the Manager, Conservation Economy provides coordination and oversight of projects, agreements, and reporting activities. This includes working with partners such as Nunavut Tunngavik Inc., government departments, and other Inuit organizations. The role involves supporting negotiations, managing funding agreements, tracking project progress, and helping develop plans and reports.
The Manager also supervises staff, supports team development, and helps guide conservation economy initiatives. This position plays an important role in making sure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in line with QIA priorities. Some travel may be required.

Generally, a degree in Economics, Environmental Science, Resource Management, or a related field is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Knowledge of the Nunavut Agreement and QIA programs is an asset.
Ability to speak Inuktitut is an asset.
The salary range for this position is $114,995 to $137,932 per annum, plus a Nunavut Northern Allowance of $27,600 per annum. Annual vacation travel assistance (VTA) is also provided. Housing is not provided.
