Re.: Call for nominations – QIA by-election – Pond Inlet
Notice is hereby given to the voting members of Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) that the nomination period for the April 10 by-election will be open as follows:
Nominations Open – February 20, 2017
Nominations Close – March 3, 2017, 5 p.m. local time
Positions Contested: Community Director – Pond Inlet
Nomination forms are available on the QIA website, the office of the CRO in Iqaluit and at local CLO office in Pond Inlet.

Eligible candidates must be Canadian citizens, 16 years of age or older, reside in Pond Inlet, and be a member of the Qikiqtani Inuit Association.
Candidates must submit their completed nomination papers to the Chief Returning Officer no later than March 3, 2017, 5 p.m. local time and are responsible for ensuring that nomination papers are received on time. Late nomination papers will not be accepted.
Elections will be held on Monday, April 10, 2017. This position expires December 2018.
Nomination papers submitted by fax will be accepted, provided the fax is received before 5:00 p.m. local time on March 3, 2017.
