Iqaluit, Nunavut, October 15, 2025 – The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) and Baffinland Iron Mines Corp. (Baffinland) are pleased to be hosting the 2025 Mary River Project Annual Project Review Forum in Arctic Bay on October 21, 22 and 23, 2025 at the Community Hall.
The Annual Project Review Forum (The Forum) is a key deliverable of the Mary River Project Inuit Impact Benefit Agreement (IIBA). The Forum provides an opportunity to discuss project-related information with the five impacted communities of Pond Inlet, Clyde River, Igloolik, Arctic Bay and Sanirajak.
The Forum serves as a venue for community representatives to share input with QIA and Baffinland on IIBA implementation, environmental impacts, mitigation and monitoring plans, and recommendations for overall project improvement.
The elected QIA Community Directors and selected Elders and Youth from the five impacted communities will represent their communities as delegates. Residents of Arctic Bay are welcome to come and listen to the meeting. We would also like to encourage all residents of the five communities to submit questions or comments about the Mary River Project to their community delegates to bring forward at the Forum. 2025 Delegates:
