NOTICE OF BY-ELECTION

JULY 16, 2020

Notice is hereby given to the voting members of the Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) that a by-election will be held in Igloolik on September 21, 2020.

The position being contested is:

Community Director Igloolik (Term – 2 years)

To be eligible to vote you must be a Canadian citizen, at least 16 years old on Election Day, an Inuk registered with Nunavut Tunngavik Inc. and permanently reside in Igloolik.

Advance Polls: September 14, 2020

Election Day: September 21, 2020

Polling stations will be open from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. local time.

Nomination forms will be available August 3, 2020 from your local QIA Community Liaison Officer, at www.qia.ca or from the Chief Returning Officer.

Proxy voting is also available.
