The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) is rescheduling its annual Spring Board Meeting. Traditionally it has been held in May, but this year will be held from June 3-8 in Iqaluit at the Anglican Parish Hall.

“We wanted to give our Board of Directors the most current information possible on the Mary River Project and we believed it was best to wait an extra few weeks,” said President Okalik Eegeesiak.

Other topics on QIA’s agenda are the Qikiqtani Truth Commission, QIA by-law review, organizational planning, discussion of social policy, and land use issues throughout the region.

Meetings are open to the general public.
