Iqaluit, Nunavut – November 19, 2021 – The Qikiqtani Inuit Association congratulates newly elected Premier P.J. Akeeagok and his colleagues in cabinet selected during Wednesday’s leadership forum.

MLAs selected the new premier and cabinet through a secret ballot process during Wednesday’s leadership forum. There are nine members of Nunavut’s cabinet, the premier and eight cabinet ministers. QIA looks forward to learning the cabinet portfolios in the coming days.
