Workshop 2 – Tool Making– February 15 to 19, 2021

Location: Tukisigiarvik Center

           

The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) is offering a series of workshops in Iqaluit to familiarize Inuit youth with harvesting and sealskin preparation.

The Qisilirinniq workshops are for Qikiqtani Inuit youth between the ages of 15 to 30.

The upcoming workshop will focus on tool making. Participants will make tools such as Ulu, Saliguut, Tasiquti, Avvik and Innirvik.

Qikiqtani Inuit youth who wish to attend the workshops can register to enter their names into a draw by calling 867.975.8380 or emailing GNoble@QIA.ca. Space is limited to five participants per workshop.

The deadline for registration is February 12, 2021 at 5pm.

These workshops are supported by MakeWay Foundation – Arctic Marine Fund.
