PSA: QIA’s Free Financial Literacy Workshops
Re.: QIA’s free financial literacy workshops
Date: March 20 to 30, 2017
Location: Pond Inlet, Arctic Bay, Igloolik and Sanirajak
The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) will be hosting free financial literacy workshops in four North Baffin communities. The workshops will take place in Pond Inlet, Arctic Bay, Igloolik and Sanirajak throughout March.
Two workshops are available in each community and everyone is welcome to attend.
Workshop 1 will focus on:
- Financial Services in the Community
- Reviewing Bank Statements
- Earning Income
- Social Benefits
- Taxation
- Credit Bureau
- Managing Finances
Workshop 2 will focus on:
- Decision Making on:
- How to Save
- How to Spend
- How to Invest and Borrow.
Each workshop will be delivered at several times to offer more flexibility for participants.

- Pond Inlet – March 20 – 22
- Arctic Bay – March 23 – 24
- Igloolik – March 27 – 28
- Sanirajak – March 29 – 30
