Position Title: Coordinator, Early Learning and Childhood Development Programs

The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) is seeking an individual for Coordinator, Early Learning and Childhood Development Programs (ELCD) to lead the coordination and administration of Inuit-specific programming. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that ELCD initiatives are delivered in a way that is culturally grounded, community-driven, and outcomes-focused.

Executing the responsibilities of this role may involve working directly with QIA subsidiary organizations, key stakeholders and community groups, external consultants, instructors/facilitators, participants, and third-party funders. The position is responsible for preparing regular internal reporting and supporting development of external reporting. The position supports reporting to QIA Executive Committee and Board of Directors on the outputs and outcomes of ECD-related initiatives for which QIA receives, or provides, funding.

The key skills are coordinate to and support the development, delivery, and evaluation of ELCD programs that serve Inuit children and families.  The successful candidate with assist in planning and implementing projects, including timelines, resources, and performance measures. The coordinator will provide frontline support and guidance to Inuit clients and community partners, helping to develop action plans and solutions, conduct basic research related to early childhood development needs, including demographic and socio-economic analysis. You with also support team collaboration and build strong internal and external relationships to advance shared goals and maintain organized and accessible electronic file systems and project documentation.

The ELCD Coordinator will help manage program-related budgets, expenses, and financial documentation, and Act as a trusted advisor and resource to management on program and service delivery matters. You will also develop innovative solutions and approaches to improve program operations and community engagement. Fluency in Inuktitut is required for this role.

The position generally requires a post-secondary certificate in Nunavut Sivuniksavut, or in a related discipline. Post-secondary education in ECE or education is a preferred qualification but not required. A combination of relevant education and/or experience may also be deemed acceptable. An acceptable Criminal Record Check is required.

Salary range for this position is $84,275 to $101,068 per annum, plus a Nunavut Northern Allowance of $27,600 per annum.
