The Qikiqtani Inuit Association (QIA) is hosting its second board meeting this year in Arctic Bay.
The agenda includes selection of new program themes for the development of QIA’s new key programs. As a result of our new revenue policy, in the next year, QIA expects to have an additional $1 million for programs across Qikiqtani. The board will review findings from QIA’s recent community consultations and decide which areas these new programs will focus on.
The board meeting will also be an opportunity to approve QIA’s eligibility criteria for its newly created scholarship with an additional $200,000 for new post-secondary scholarships for Qikiqtani Inuit.
QIA will also be hosting a community feast in Arctic Bay on Tuesday, May 30 at 7pm as well as an information fair about our existing programs.
