Notice Calling for Nominations of Candidates

Notice is hereby given to the voting Beneficiaries of Qikiqtani Inuit Association that the nomination period for the QIA 2012 elections is now open.

Nominations open:  October 22ND, 2012
Nominations close:  November 5TH, 2012 (5 P.M. Eastern Standard Time)

Elections will be held for the following QIA board positions:
  • Secretary Treasurer
  • Community Director, Arctic Bay
  • Community Director, Cape Dorset
  • Community Director, Grise Fiord
  • Community Director, Qikiqtarjuaq
  • Community Director, Resolute Bay
Elections will be on Monday, December 10, 2012. Nominations for candidates must be received before 5 p.m. EST on November 5th, 2012. All of the positions are for a three (3) year term expiring December 2015.

Nomination papers submitted by fax will be accepted, provided the fax is received before 5:00 p.m. ET on November 5th, 2012 at the office of the Qikiqtani Inuit Association.

Nomination forms are available on our website, our head office in Iqaluit and at local CLO offices throughout the region.
